Did you know you can search Google using images? Well you can. I know this thanks to a healthy obsession with the MTV programme ‘Catfish’. Bored one afternoon and curious as to where pictures I’ve posted to

my blog over the years might have turned up, I decided to Google them.

I started with this picture – it’s the picture on my ‘About’ page and was taken by a friend of mine at the Great Eastern Run last year. I dragged it into the Google image search bar and it didn’t bring up many exciting matches. It did however suggest a few ‘Similar images’. Most notably the footballer Fabregas.

Well that was fun. I tried another, this time the picture of me drinking beer and eating pizza at the finish line of Edinburgh Marathon. The ‘Similar images’ Google suggested this time included a puppy. I’m happy with that.

So there you have it. Possibly the best use for race pictures ever. Happy Googling. See if you can beat that. I doubt you will.
